Heaven and Hell Steak Butter

Heaven & Hell Steak Butter... with cream cheese? Before your freak out - give this twist on seasoned butters for steaks a try!

Sometimes the best part of grilling a steak is adding a pat of seasoned butter to the top just before serving. The butter adds a bit of flavor, mingles with the steaks juices, and essentially becomes an instant steak sauce on your plate. So, why not go for the gold with a steak butter that combines flavor with some Tex-Mex heat. A little bit if "heaven" with the cool and creamy texture and a dash of "hell" with the chili powder and hot sauce! Enjoy!

Here's the recipe:

  • 1 stick butter softened
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon cream cheese (or sour cream in a pinch)
  • Dashes of parsley
  • Dashes of minced or chopped garlic
  • Dashes of chili powder
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon hot sauce

Soften the butter with a spoon until very smooth. Add in the cream cheese, or the sour cream, and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and chill. The consistency will be different between the two depending on if you use cream cheese of sour cream. Both are pretty neat.
